I left Stratford after graduation and went to Huntsville, Texas with a vocal scholarship to Sam Houston State University. After 3 years as a music major, I switched majors to elementary education. After my junior year I married in 1966 to Ronnie Dobbs, who had already graduated and was an officer in the army at helicopter flight school training. I returned to SHSU in 1968, while Ronnie was in Viet Nam. I did graduate in 1970. We moved to Arkansas later after my graduation, where we lived for 29 years with the prison system. where my husband was wardens at several units and then was named assistant director of the system. We had three children, 2 girls and a boy, now 44, 37, and 34. Both girls are teachers and our son has a degree in history and is still trying to find the perfect job. Ronnie and I divorced in 1999. I taught in various schools and towns for 39 total years, all grades K thru 9, and much of it to gifted and talented students. I remarried in 2004 to Jack Sandlin. We moved to Hot Springs Village in 2012 and are both retired, he from furniture sales. I have kept up with choral music through the years, from several community groups and church choirs. I still greatly enjoy singing a lot. I stay in close touch with my twin brother, Willard, who as you know still lives in Conn. (Winsted). I really wish I could have been at the 50th reunion. If there is a 55th, please count me in. I enjoyed my senior year at SHS and have many warm memories of my time there. My brother and I were welcomed warmly and I made many good friends.
